Eastleigh Borough Council is currently consulting on Issues and Options as part of their Local Plan review.
The consultation is open until 29th January 2025.
 
One of the strategic housing allocations in the proposals is “Strategic Development Option A” – which is an allocation of 4,600 homes north-east of Fair Oak. The Parish Council is especially concerned about the permanent increase of traffic on the B3335 through Twyford which would likely result from a development of this size in this location.

There are three remaining drop in sessions where you can view plans and talk to Officers from Eastleigh Borough Council. These are:
 
Fair Oak – Monday 13 January, 3.30pm – 7.30pm, Fair Oak Village Hall (Grace Mears Room), Shorts Road
 
Bishopstoke – Thursday 16 January, 4pm – 8pm, Bishopstoke Community Centre, Church Road
 
Eastleigh – Monday 20 January 3.30 – 7.30pm, Eastleigh House, Upper Market Street
