Twyford Sports and Social Club

A friendly members club, our premises offer a welcoming and comfortable environment for social activities with a capacity of holding up to 200 people (120 seated). Non-members are welcome. We have regular entertainment making the club a good meeting place for those who enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A well stocked bar with competitively priced drinks and snacks is available. The club may also be able to help you with that special function or skittle alley hire by providing a venue and buffet facilities. We are open to enquiries and will be happy to give you a quotation for the service you, your family, or your organisation might require.

We are a friendly SATB choir with 80 members and are proud to be non-auditioned; nevertheless previous choral experience and an ability to read music are both invaluable.  We are currently up to our maximum strength and so our membership secretary keeps a waiting list of singers who would like to join us when a vacancy arises.  Members live not only in Twyford but also in surrounding areas, including Winchester, Colden Common and Alresford.

WI – Disparate Housewives

We’ve all heard about modern reinventions of classics like Burberry or the Mini, well now it’s the turn of the Women’s Institute. This exciting revolution is happening not just in Yorkshire, home of the ‘Calendar Girls’, but here in Hampshire. Disparate Housewives WI is not your traditional Women’s Institute. Groups like ours are helping to change the traditional view of the Women’s Institute and provide a range of activities and social events for modern women. We will learn about the essentials in life; chocolate and wine. We will also learn to dance and sing! We have brought women of all ages together to have fun.

We meet every third Wednesday of the month at 8pm in Twyford Parish Hall.
